This weekend was the annual 4th Ward Summer Campout. The theme for the activity was a Fear Factor contest. At first, we decided just to sit back and watch, but we were pressured into joining the fun.
Our first challenge was a tug-of-war to eliminate some of the teams. The sand was wet and very slippery and we were thinking that it was going to be a quick elimination for us. We grunted and groaned and pulled our way into the next round which was a surprise.
that you had to eat a tablespoon of butter for each grape that was not caught. We decided that Jamie would throw and I would catch which turned out well as we caught 4 out of 5 grapes. The butter was much easier when I only had to eat one tablespoon. I popped it in and downed it quick.
Having beaten that, we moved on to another eating challenge. The goal was to eat a jar of baby food through a straw as fast as you could. Jamie really didn't want to do it, so I stepped up to the challenge. Baby food is thicker than most things and it was harder than I thought to suck it all up.
In the end, we came in third. The Judd's and the McIntire's out played us. We did end up with a prize of movie tickets and treats. It was a fun competition for two people who started out as spectators.
